The Cross-Cultural Community Services Association (TCCSA) is a not-for-profit organization that aims to facilitate the well-being of diversified communities through social services. The mission of TCCSA is to assist newcomers in adapting to Canadian life in their neighbourhood and to provide support to Canadians in building a stronger community.

Applications are invited for the position of Settlement Worker for Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR) that provides a variety of settlement supports and serving a multicultural community in York Region. Under the supervision of the Orientation Program Manager, the Settlement Worker will facilitate the transition to living in York Region primarily for recently arrived newcomers. Strong preference will be given to candidates who can display a solid understanding and knowledge about topics important to the newcomer community so to best understand their needs and rights to provide and connect them with appropriate services.

This position is responsible for teaching in the LINC program. The candidate must demonstrate sensitivity to and an understanding of issues of concern to immigrants and refugees.

This position is mainly responsible for the creation of employment opportunities for ACCES clients. The Employer Liaison will work in collaboration with their project team and other ACCES employees, along with community partner agencies.
