LINC Instructor

TCCSA is seeking an experienced LINC Instructor to fill a part-time position at our Scarborough Centre (325 Bamburgh Circle, Scarborough). Successful candidate should be passionate about teaching and can make language learning in the classroom more interesting and engaging for the students. The LINC Instructor is responsible for the provision of instruction in English as second Language and life skills required by newcomers to Canada, following curriculum which is adapted to the needs of newcomers.

Workforce Specialist/ Job Developer

The Workforce Specialist/Job Developer will support our women clients with their job search through recruiting employers, agencies, and local businesses to obtain various work experiences / job placements for clients. Workforce Specialist/Job Developer is also responsible for engaging employers to support the labour market inclusion of immigrant women from racialized communities who have experienced prolonged detachment from the labour force. Reporting to the Program Coordinator; this position works in close collaboration with other coordinator/workforce specialists in Calgary, Regina, and Saskatoon to ensure consistency in project delivery and outcomes.

Employer Liaison, Connecting Ukrainians to Good Jobs (Toronto)

This project works in collaboration with ACCES’s Corporate Engagement team to support newly landed refugees to receive coaching and support to secure employment. By leveraging the organization’s employer relationships, the program team will match refugees with viable employment. The program will be delivered in partnership with TalentPool (a Calgary-based organization). Collectively, both agencies will ensure pan-Canada access to information about destination cities and their related industries, as well as job readiness training, job fairs, employer networking events, mentoring and onboarding supports.

Settlement Worker (Full-Time Permanent)

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status. To this end, CCS is seeking one on-going part-time Settlement Worker with different language requirements to provide settlement information and referral services to immigrants and refugees in the Region of Toronto to aid in their settlement and integration into the community.

Employment Support Worker

The Employment Support Worker assists eligible clients to develop their employment action plans, and to work towards their goals through one-on-one support, coaching, and group sessions/workshops. Staff will provide newcomers with practical opportunities to support their entry and success in the Canadian labour market. The Employment Support worker will assist newcomer job seekers in developing career plans to meet clients' short and long-term labour market needs, provide information about foreign qualification recognition, and refer clients to other employment, self-employment, and training programs.
