Healthy Lifestyle Habits: Presented by Medical Students

Our interactive workshop will cover a range of topics related to cultivating healthy lifestyle habits, including tips on grocery shopping, nutritional intake, and physical activity.
We will explore the health and wellness related benefits of healthy eating and regular exercise and provide recommendations and guidelines that you can incorporate into your day-to-day life. Additionally, we will delve into how you can implement our suggestions in the light of the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic.
The final portion of the workshop will feature a Q&A session.

Understanding Emotions and Emotion Regulation

This webinar will involve understanding emotions through primary and secondary levels.
We will also go through exercises focused on self-soothing and emotion regulation techniques that address confusion, anger, anxiety, depression to help regulate your own emotions.
Our mental health counsellor from Skills for Change will facilitate this workshop.

Sleep Hygiene

Good night sleep is as important for your physical and mental health as healthy eating and exercising.
However, many people will suffer from sleep disturbances at some time in their life. We will take a close look at your own sleeping habits as well as develop practical techniques for good sleep hygiene.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to improve their overall sleeping habits and hopefully catch some Zs!

The Mental Health Counselor is part of a flexible team who deliver services to torture survivors and their families.

Life Coach "Step Together"

Specifics: Self-directed role, interacting directly with program participants, providing services in individual and group settings to individuals who need support with stabilizing their own daily life. Coaches for social, emotional, mental and physical stability of participants who expressed challenges during covid19 time. Daily activities are self-guided, distributed between support to clients and support to the program team, and are aligned with specifics of the individual participant needs.
