An appointment with your doctor or another healthcare professional can be confusing and overwhelming at times. That’s why we’ve created this interactive workshop!
We will review what you can expect from a visit at a doctor’s office, as well as how to advocate for yourself during healthcare appointments.
We’ll also explore skills to find, understand, and use information to help make health-related decisions.
Finally, we’ll provide you with some helpful health tools and resources that you can use anytime!

Exploring Mindfulness Intentions

Over the years more studies demonstrate the benefits of mindfulness practice, including stress reduction, boosting the immune system, rewiring the brain to help cultivate positive habits, work through our mind and thoughts through increased awareness.
We will look how to incorporate mindfulness through movements and intentions into everyday life and not just at a seated meditation.
Our mental health counsellor from Skills for Change will facilitate this workshop.
