Active Citizenship Manager

The Active Citizenship Manager will support NYCH’s Active Citizenship project – an exciting collaborative initiative with project partners, immigrant and refugee-serving organizations across the province, newcomers and other stakeholders. The project involves co-designing civic engagement curriculum and programs that support newcomers to develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and connections they need to play a strong, active role in civic life.

We are seeking an advanced project manager with the demonstrated skills and experience to manage the design and rollout of a province-wide program. The Active Citizenship Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the project and coordinate the work of the other three key project partners, as well as playing a hands-on role in program development.

Mentorship and Employment Support worker

The Mentorship and Employment Worker will design, develops, and implements mentorship models for internationally trained newcomers for careers by matching them with established volunteer mentors for understanding and connection to the Canadian labour market. Staff will recruit, screen, and match mentors with interested mentees, and provide follow up support and conduct program evaluation. This position will also support eligible clients to develop their employment action plans and support clients in working towards their goals through the method of one-on-one support, coaching, and group sessions/workshops.
