Executive Assistant

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status. As part of central administration, the Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director and the Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Manager of EDO Projects.

Manager of Operations

Delta Family has created a new management position for an innovative, capable, experienced, reliable and organized Manager of Operations to facilitate this transition. The Manager of Operations will be part of the leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office with a focus on efficiency, service, clients and staff.

Employment Counsellor - Scarborough

Responsible for facilitating workshops and delivering one on one employment for eligible newcomers. This includes the delivery of Job Search Workshop, individual employment-related counselling and assessment; solution focused counselling, information and referral provision, facilitating information sessions on employment related topics and matching with employment related opportunities and professional mentor.

Manager, Philanthropy

Our Manager of Philanthropy (you!) will inspire, manage and motivate staff and the Durham community to understand the vision of Carea, the purpose of Community Health Centres, and the impact we’ve had on healthcare and continue to have. You’ll play a central role in growing and evolving our program with a focus on building meaningful relationships with existing and prospective donors. You’ll lead the development and consistent delivery of exceptional donor interactions, participating in activities related to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of all donors.

Settlement Program Coordinator

Coordinates the operations and service delivery functions of the settlement team and program, with strategic focus on team synergy, program life cycles, key KPI’s, targets optimization and the evaluation of services in a seamless and integrated manner.
Willingly cooperates and works collaboratively with others to accomplish stated objectives. Using a variety of communication styles and strategies fosters open communications and exchange of information and discussion on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates resourcefulness to enhance services and program delivery offers constructive solutions to advance the quality of service and program.

Black Youth Success in School Initiative Youth Worker (YSSI)

Delta Family is leading the delivery of the Black Youth Student Success Initiative (YSSI) in Rexdale and has partnered with local agencies and facilitators to provide a comprehensive, culturally relevant series of supports for underserved youth. Partner Motion Ball Sports is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the development of life skills, academics and personal performance on and off the court in a safe, positive and fun environment through strong leadership, intense training and community partnerships for young members. The YSSI Youth Worker will coordinate and facilitate after-school programming for up to 25 youth at North Kipling Junior Middle School on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Black Youth Success in School Initiative Coordinator (YSSI)

Delta Family is currently seeking a Full-time Program Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the delivery of after-school programming for up to 50 Black youth at North Kipling Junior Middle School and two other schools in North West Toronto. The Program Coordinator will lead the delivery of the Black Youth Student Success Initiative (YSSI) in Rexdale (a partnership with similar programs in York and Scarborough) and the After School Healthy Lifestyle programs.

Settlement Assistance and Family Support Services is a trusted not-for-profit social services agency that has been serving and advocating for newcomers, refugees and victims of all types of violence since 1989. The need to address Violence against Women was the seed of the organization's establishment. However, while the organization was initially founded to support women and children who were victims of domestic violence, it has since evolved and expanded its services to support other identified needs. Our trained staff provide a range of services to a diverse, multi-cultural and multi-lingual community in a responsible and professional manner in a safe nonjudgmental and confidential environment that fosters trust, respect and collaboration.

JTZ Family & Child Worker

This program focuses on African / Caribbean Black Canadian children / youth and their families in contact with Children’s Aid Society Toronto (CAS-T). The FCWs will engage families involved with the Child Welfare System and work collaboratively with referred children /youth and families to develop and strengthen their networks, maximizing the family’s well-being and the social functioning of the children, in an effort to reduce family separation in Black families.
