Family Violence Counsellor

Muslim Community Services (MCS) is a group of diverse professionals dedicated to enhancing newcomer community engagement. Our agency was established in 1987 as a non-profit organization to serve and work with newcomers to facilitate their settlement and integration into Canada. We offer a wide range of services and learning opportunities to connect newcomers to a better future in the ever changing Canadian society. Family Violence Counsellor will be responsible for supporting vulnerable, at-risk women by addressing their immediate need by providing and engaging them through culturally sensitive counselling, safety planning, advocacy, and education. In addition, will be providing services to women facing domestic abuse by providing them counselling, guidance, problem solving and support services.

Case Manager - Integrated Seniors Team (IST) Program

Employment Services (ES) Coordinator

The ES Coordinator (Peel) is required to support and supervise the ES team with daily operations pertaining to all Employment Service components, including all key principles that guide the service delivery model. The ES Coordinator will work with all team members to plan, implement, and evaluate service strategies and organizational operating/business plans, to achieve the target of overall employment service quality as per the Funder Agreement. The incumbent will also ensure professional operation and availability of all resources, information, and tools necessary for the successful delivery of the full spectrum of ES services

Employment Program Teacher for Bridge to Employment for Women Program

Bridge to Employment for Women (BEW) project is designed to prepare immigrant women for employment and enhance their readiness to the job market that have emerged since the COVID-19 pandemic. It is developed using a holistic wrap around approach that encompasses four main components including a 6 week of in demand employment skill-enhancement, a 3-month co-op work experience placement, scheduled networking events, and one-to-one mentorship over a 10 month period.

Project Coordinator Assistant ‘Parenting for Success’

The Parenting for Success project is where parents/caregivers from different cultures learn parenting skills in their native languages (Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and English). The project targets parents of children between the ages of 6-12 years. Four rounds of eight workshops each will be delivered in four languages. The children's skills enhancement component will complement the parents' workshops. The objective is for parents to be equipped with skills to help them deal with the challenges of raising their children in a new country while resulting in children who exhibit more emotional resiliency, positive mental health, self-management skills, social awareness and responsible decision making.

Manager - Employment Services

The Manager Employment Services (ES) will oversee the day-to-day operation and implementation of employment service and related services in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Employment Services, the Manager will assist the ES Coordinating teams to manage daily operations and ensure adherence to all key principles that guide the service delivery model. Duties will include ensuring that service quality is maintained, activities are conducted appropriately, outcomes are achieved, and performance measurement and management practices are effective.

Business Engagement Manager

Reporting to the Director of Employment Services (ES), the Business Engagement Manager (non- supervisory) is accountable for all activities associated with the engagement of new employers in the public and private sector as well as enhancing relationships with existing employers to meet their human resource needs while also meeting the needs of Achev’s job seeking clients. As a member of the Employment Ontario Network the incumbent will utilize their years of experience and external networks to increase engagement with businesses while working collaboratively with the Achev Employer Liaison Team to expand our network and relationships with employers.

Communication & Engagement Officer

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Communications and Engagement Officer (C&E Officer) is responsible for planning, developing, and executing a variety of communications and marketing initiatives in support of the Red Shawl 2022 programs and broader objectives. The C&E Officer will play a key role in the development and implementation of the design of marketing materials, overall branding strategy, social media analytics and reports from conception to execution.
