Responding to Intimate Partner Violence: Refugee Assistance Program Workers Relaunch

Refugee women sometimes experience intimate partner violence. Do you know how pre-migration and migration trauma can impact the safety of refugee women and their families? Do you know how to work collaboratively with violence against women experts in your community? Does your organization have policies and protocols in place to help you respond safely and effectively to situations of intimate partner violence?

SAULT STE. MARIE — The Ontario government is investing $900,000 in an innovative project in Sault Ste. Marie that will help people move out of community housing and provide training to help social assistance recipients get good jobs.

Decent Work for Women Working in the Ontario Nonprofit Sector

The Ontario Nonprofit Network has received funding from Status of Women Canada for a three-year project to apply a GBA+ lens (gender based intersectional analysis) to iIdentify barriers to women workers’ economic empowerment and prosperity in the nonprofit sector and develop and implement pilot solutions to address these barriers at the organizational, network and policy levels.
