Employment Supports for Youth with Disabilities in London

The government of Canada has announced that it will provide funding to help 144 vulnerable youth in London, Ontario to overcome barriers to employment, develop essential job skills or return to school.

More Information: 

Through the Employment Supports for Youth with Disabilities project, participants will attend workshops that are tailored to their needs. These include sessions on essential and employability skills including: communication, résumé writing, health and safety awareness, conflict resolution, interview skills, customer service, basic budgeting and career planning. Project participants will also get work experience with private and non-profit employers in the London, Ontario area in sectors such as service, business, retail, manufacturing, construction and trades.
