Summary:

Catholic Crosscultural Services - CCS  is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or stat us. CCS is seeking a full time contract Online Citizenship Program Manager to provide supervision, leadership and coordination to the program, facilitating online citizenship training and supportive activities for immigrants across Canada to enable them to obtain citizenship and become more engaged and integrated in Canada.

Reports to: Regional Director (Toronto)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, manage and evaluate the program to ensure newcomer needs, agency goals and funder expectations are met
  • Develop, implement and evaluate long-term and short-term program plans including strategy on the delivery of the program across Canada
  • Ensure the achievement of critical outcomes including citizenship status and civic integration of newcomer client
  • Plan, develop and supervise all aspects of the online citizenship program including costs, technologies and delivery formats
  • Ensure the development and implementation of an interactive and dynamic curriculum and supportive activities delivered online for newcomer adult learners across Canada
  • Design and update course layout and flow for appropriate access to learning activities, materials and assessments
  • Review all online content for accuracy and monitor program worker – client interactions to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Recruit, orient, supervise and evaluate the work of the Program Worker and volunteers as applicable
  • Ensure that Program Worker and volunteers comply with all CCS policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with IT support services to ensure online training tools are available and maintained
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community partners at a local and province wide level to develop mutually beneficial service delivery enhancements
  • Develop and coordinate implementation of outreach strategies to promote the online training to clients across Canada and ensure adequate enrollment in online courses and supportive activities
  • Manage program delivery to meet program outcomes, contractual agreements and future development
  • Conduct program evaluations as required by funding contracts and CCS policies
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical and program reports
    • Ensure the confidentiality of all client and agency files and documentation in accordance with all applicable legislations and policies
  • Ensure collection and entry of service data into an agency database, and ensure the reporting of all relevant data into iCare and OCMS on a regular basis and are accurate
  • Monitor the program budget and prepare monthly financial reports for the Regional Director and Finance department
  • Work with other Program Managers to ensure collaborative program delivery
  • Work closely with the Regional Director to ensure CCS is delivering relevant and efficient services which address the needs of the newcomer community
  • Ensure workplaces, services and activities comply with all health & safety, regulatory and other legislated requirements
  • Ensures responsible use and care of all CCS equipment and resources
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the office location where applicable

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of managerial experience, preferably in settlement service sectors
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience developing, coordinating and delivering online activities and/or online training tools for adult learners
  • Experience in staff supervision and evaluation
  • Knowledge and/or experience with on-line Learning Management Systems and WordPress is a definite asset
  • Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate editorial style and publication guideline is a definite asset
  • Superior knowledge of Canadian citizenship process, settlement system, community resources and services
  • Strong knowledge of and sensitivity of settlement needs including social and educational issues and barriers experienced by newcomers
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, planning, organization and time management
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills required to work with clients, team members and the general public, commitment to anti-oppression, a client-centred service delivery and equity
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Fluency in French
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and work in any of CCS’s multi-site locations

Salary: Prorated based on annual salary of $68,341.00 plus benefit
Hours of work: 35 hrs. per week, evening and weekend hours will be required
Contract Duration: January 2018 to March 31, 2020
