Position Title: Clinical Services Manager
Position Type: Permanent Full Time
Reports To: Executive Director
Direct Reports: Counsellors, Social Workers, and Psychotherapists of the Counselling Team
Position Summary: The Clinical Services Manager is the leader of the Counselling Team within the agency, responsible for supervisory, recruitment, training, and resource development functions, while serving clients and supporting the Executive Director with agency compliance and development needs.

Major Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and industry leadership to ensure excellent service quality and compliance to the standard of counselling practice of the agency, accreditation standard and regulatory body
• Provide clinical consultation to staff on professional development, clinical matters and serious occurrences
• Participate in counselling practice by conducting assessments, treatment, education, outreach, and case management for clients as required, and maintain documentation and reporting according to college, funder, and accreditation requirements.
• Manage, plan and monitor agency operations and programs as members of the management team
• Responsible for recruitment, training, and resource development for the agency
• Act as the resource person for the most updated industry best practices, and funder, college and accreditation compliance standards, and ensure compliance via policy updates, implementation, and staff training
• Act as agency liaison for external family and clinical service organizations, partners, and funders
• Act as ambassador for agency’s clinical practice via participation in research, media interviews, public education, clinical education, and marketing according to agency’s strategic plan
• Assist the Executive Director with funder reporting process and proposal writing for funding
• Maintain strict confidentiality as outlined in agency privacy and confidentiality policy
• Other duty/assignment as reasonably assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications
• University degree at the Masters level of above in a Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Mental Health or an equivalent field
• At least 5 years of clinical experience and 3 years in management experience in positions of progressive responsibility
• Knowledge of sensitivity and commitment to serving the Chinese community in Ontario
• Advanced supervision and clinical skills in counselling and psychoeducation
• Fluency in Verbal & Written English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)
• Proficiency in MS Office software programs and usage of Internet
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Willingness to work days / evenings, and occasional weekends as required
• Membership in Good Standing of a relevant governing body
• Clearance from a Vulnerable Sector Police Screening
