Do you have clients who are internationally trained and are looking to work as accountants in Ontario?

Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario - CPA and Global Experience Ontario - GEO are teaming up to offer a training workshop that provides an in-depth look at the licensing pathways, resources and support programs available to internationally trained professionals with an accounting, finance or business background.

This workshop is ideally suited for frontline settlement and employment service providers, including employment counsellors, settlement workers, job developers, caseworkers, career advisors, community workers, and information and inquiry officers.

There will be presentations by CPA Ontario, Global Experience Ontario, and two internationally trained accountants who will share their stories of career success in Canada.

What you will learn:

  • How to guide clients through the process of getting a CPA designation in Ontario
  • How to refer clients to resources and supports programs, and advise them on alternative career paths
  • Tips and advice to help clients find work in the accounting field.
