Bridging Program for Internationally Trained Environmental Professionals – now accepting applications

Now accepting applications for Mentoring to Placement (M2P) program for internationally trained environmental professionals.

M2P is an Ontario bridge training program delivered by Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) to assist internationally trained environmental professionals to obtain employment in their field. Over 80% of past clients have been successful in securing employment in their professional discipline

We are now accepting applications from internationally trained and experienced professionals in:

  • Green Building & Energy – electrical / mechanical / civil engineers, project managers, technical experts and other professionals in green energy technology and / or green building with an interest and experience in one or more of: project design, development, implementation, operation, monitoring and measurement (i.e. solar/photovoltaic technology; energy co-generation, conservation, auditing, and management; green roof technology; ground source heating and cooling; facilities management and commissioning; software development for green energy and building; etc.). Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification an asset.
  • Planning – environmental, urban, or community planning, landscape design
  • Ecology – environmental science, environmental studies, geology, earth sciences, biology (aquatic, terrestrial), environmental assessment or related fields

Some of the key program components include:

  • Industry trends and technical training
  • Business and soft skills training
  • Individual and group job search support and coaching
  • Mentoring placement with mentor in professional field
  • Work Placements from 3 to 12 months in professional field

Applications will be accepted until February 17th, 2012.
