The aim of this conference is to bring together the diverse South Asian communities with all the key sectors involved in violence prevention and response, to identify the kinds of programs, sector-specific training and public education campaigns that will be needed in order to develop and deliver an effective community development strategy for addressing the various manifestations of violence that is occurring in South Asian families.
