One Voice One Hope – Human Trafficking Seminar
This seminar is hosted by the London Anti‐Human Trafficking Committee and Men Against Sexual Trafficking . The Conference: The Friday portion of the conference will be of interest to front‐line professionals, those in the social service industry or students of social justice issues. The keynote speaker will be MP Joy Smith from Winnipeg who has most recently been advocating for mandatory sentencing of a person caught trafficking children. Other speakers will be experts in the fields of labour trafficking, immigration and law enforcement who will be presenting recent cases in Ontario, along with survivor experiences. Saturday will be of interest to the general public seeking more information about the human impact of modern day slavery both locally and globally and will include presentations from Crime Stoppers, International Justice Mission and local activists.
